Justine Bieber, That chick is talented?!

Either you know who I'm talking about1 or you've never heard of her. Justine Bieber is young, talented, and very successful for her age. I respect what Bieber does, and I appreciate the hard work it takes to build an empire like the one she has built. I also know that in this era of short attention spans, you have to strike while you still have your fifteen minutes.


1- If you like Justin Bieber and are a male over 18, please register as a sex offender.


I get it, people like Bieber, no wait, love Bieber. I just don't need need her shoved down my throat. I don't shove things that I like down other people's throat2. That is just a ridiculous thing to do. Let me preface this by saying, this rant is the result of the millions of commercials, wait that's exaggerating, thousands of commercials for her new movie Justine Bieber: Never Say Never. I don't like commercials. I don't watch the Super Bowl for the commercials. I watch it because it is the last bit of real football I get until the August. Anyway, I thought we hated commercials in this country? I've always been told, "Naim, its better to leave them wanting more". No one ever really specifically said that to me, but I think some old person said it along time ago and it stuck. It's always seemed counter-intuitive to that so many businesses' advertise the shit out something, so much so that people start to hate it, and then expect a bigger audience to show up? If some piece of work, whether it be a movie, song, or book, is really great and transcendent, won't word of mouth spread and people show up in support?


2- If you know me, I totally push things I like down my friend's throats.
  

So, I don't know what is going to happen to Bieber in the Future. We could have a future Justin Timberlake, or a Macaulay Culkin, I don't know. On a side note, Macaulay Culkin is the only person to date Michael Jackson and Mila Kunis, #Fact. If you don't believe me, Google it.

    I guess Amarillo is even more boring than I imagined.

    Quit hatin on Beiber...he's trying to reach out to girls under the age of 18 and frankly doing a damn good job at it. He's making more money than you'll ever see sooooo all I have to say about this is would you like some peanut butter with that jelly? :)

    Don't entirely agree with your "won't word of mouth spread and people show up" comment because I'm prettttttty sure that only cuts it a small percentage of time and even then it's only if that thing is really great.

    Anywho, keep it coming. I'll read it once in a while..only if you refrain from footnotes like footnote number 2.

    The modern music industry is built on shoving crappy music into people's ears so much that they fool themselves into liking it.

    Commercials and television are much the same way. As are movies. And media in general.

    Humans are interesting creatures.
